Zesa Announces Load Shedding Timetable

Zimbabwe Electricity Supply Authority (ZESA) Holdings has announced that the country will experience power shortages due to a fault at one of the country’s major power plants.  The fault will therefore result in the power utility engineering load shedding between 4 pm and 9 pm.

In a statement released on Thursday, Zesa Holdings disclosed that a technical fault is choking operations at Hwange Power Station. “The technical fault will result in load curtailment of about 200mw during the evening peak period of 1600 hours to 1900 hours,” said Zesa adding that efforts to restore normal supplies are underway.
