Meet Zimbabwe’s new Minister of Mines and Mining Development Dr Polite Kambamura

• The new Minister of Mines and Mining Development is a Mining Engineer by profession.

• He is 48 years old.

• Graduated from the University of Zimbabwe in 2002 with a BSc (Hons) in Mining Engineering.

Worked in several Zimbabwean mines, including:

• Trojan Nickel Mine.

• Shamva Mine (LONRHO).

• Ashanti Goldfields.

Went to South Africa to further develop mining knowledge.

Worked in various mines, starting from junior positions and progressing to management.
